Social Ministry

Through partnership with Blessed Hope Mission in Lincoln Park we are able to help others with food, housing and clothing needs. 

Each July we celebrate “March to the Manger”, which allows us to shop for “Christmas in July” items for needy children.  The event culminates on the Sunday closest to July 25th with the items being brought forward and laid in front of the manger. 

We participate in the Wyandotte CROP Walk, raise funds or collect items for hurricane and disaster victims worldwide. 

We recently began to participate in the Lutheran World Relief “Coffee Project” offering fair traded coffee, tea and other items to our members as well as serving fair traded coffee at church events. 

We maintain a discretionary fund to assist needy members and neighbors.
